Quick Start Guide

Getting Started:

• Touch screen anywhere.
• Enter code- the screen will come down and the projector will power on.

Opening the Lectern:

• The locks are released when you enter in the code to power on the system.
• To open the left lectern door, reach inside the open right side door and pull the release latch. 

Using the PC:

• Turn the Computer on and log in.
• Press the “Sympodium PC” button on the touch panel. 
• Control the volume with the up and down arrows on the touch panel.

Using your Laptop:

• Press down on the black box on the left side of the lectern.
• A box will pop up allowing you to plug in your laptop’s VGA, audio, and network cables into the system.  Plug them in.
• Press the “Laptop” button on the Touch panel.
• Toggle your input on your laptop (if necessary).  On most Dells its Fn + F8.

Using the VCR/DVD:

• Put your tape or DVD in the player.
• Select “DVD” or “VCR” on the touch panel.
• Use the controls at the bottom of the page to control the player (play, stop, pause, etc.)

Using the Document Camera:

• Some lecterns are equipped with Document Cameras.  In these rooms, open the drawer and power the camera on.
• Press the “Document Camera” button on the touch panel
• Use the controls on the camera to control the zoom and focus.

Shutting the System Down:

• When you are finished, remove any tapes or DVDs you may have in the player.
• Shut Down the computer
• Press the “Done” button.
• Press the “yes” button.  This will power down the system.
