LITS Policies
Library, Instructional and Technology Services (LITS) exists to promote the effective, legal and ethical adoption, use and maintenance of OLLU computing and telecommunications resources for instructional and support activities, to create a private, secure environment for the storage and dissemination of OLLU data, and to identify, acquire, organize, preserve and disseminate digital and print resources for learning, teaching and research.
GOVERNANCE
The Vice President of LITS reports to the University’s Executive Vice President and is a member of the Administrative Council, a body which reviews LITS policies. The Technology Advisory Council (TAC), which is composed of faculty, staff and student representatives from the University community, advises the Vice President on policy and priorities. The Information Services Committee, which reports to the Faculty Assembly, and the Administrative Technology Users Group discuss issues and make recommendations which are taken by their representatives to the Technology Advisory Council. Any other University council or committee may make recommendations to the Vice President for LITS.
